AmWINS Day of Service

AmWINS recently held its second annual Day of Service, an initiative focused on enhancing the communities in which the company's employees live and work.  AmWINS offices volunteered with a nonprofit organization or charity event of their choice, with more than 1,200 employees collectively logging 6,500 hours of community service -- impacting more than 35 communities around the world.  In Charlotte, AmWINS employees organized, priced and marked through bardcodes of donated items at the Habitat for Humanity Restore (that team pictured here) as well as sorted food at Second Harvest Food Bank; cleared trails and painted with Mitey Riders (an organization providing equine-assisted therapy to special needs children); cooked a meal for guests at the Ronald McDonald House; repaired a home with Habitat for Humanity; and mulched beds on the Greenway with Mecklenburg Parks and Recreation.
